Stephen Fairless

Fairless’ cycling career most notably brought him to the Seoul Olympics in 1988 where his Australian team competed in the 100 km to finish ninth out of 31 teams.

Talented from a young age he won the Australian schoolboys road cycling championship in 1978, and travelled to Mexico in 1980 to compete in the World Junior Cycling championship.

Although Fairless took a break from cycling for a period during the 1990s, after returning he travelled to Denmark in 2015 to compete where he was crowned Masters World Champion in the 50–54 age group.
