Croquet player

Edwards spent much of her life devoted to the playing and administration of croquet, first picking up the sport in the 1950s.

She quickly rose up the ranks, taking out the Victorian women’s singles title in 1955 and went on to win five more state singles titles and four doubles titles.

Her success culminated in 1973 when she was the Australian women’s singles champion.

Edwards spent six years as president of the Croquet Council of Australia, fulfi lling the same role in the Goulburn Valley Croquet Association.
