The name Brett Lancaster became known worldwide due to his feats as a cyclist at the Olympic Games, world titles and on the grand tours of European cycling.

He is Shepparton’s most successful international sports person. Lancaster competed in three Olympic Games and won a gold medal in the team pursuit event in Athens in 2004.

He competed in the Commonwealth Games, the World Championships and rode six times in the Tour de France.
