Shaun O’Brien

July 12, 2017

Shepparton’s Shaun O’Brien fell in love with track cycling while growing up and started a cycling career that saw him ride across the world at international level and become an Olympic medallist.

O’Brien started with Shepparton Cycling Club in 1978, aged eight, and showed immediate promise.

He went on to represent Australia in world junior cycling, was Victorian Cyclist of the Year, won a Commonwealth Games silver medal, won a Barcelona Olympic silver medal in the team pursuit and secured a bronze medal at the World Championships.
